Great day at the Northamptonhire Newspapers Charity Golf day in aid of Cransley Hospice

From 12noon on Friday 5th June, keen golf teams started arriving at the Wellingborough Golf Club to take part in a golfing competition to raise funds for this important charity.

Players enjoyed a bacon butty and hot drink before they went to their tees for a gun shot start at 1pm.

The weather was good all day and teams started coming back around 5pm to get ready for a two course sit-down meal in the club and find out the results of the day.

There was also a silent auction and charity raffle to help raise funds and everyone enjoyed their day.

Overall winner - Richard Spaughton and received a trophy and Kettering Park Hotel Sunday Lunch voucher

Runner-up Ross Goddard and received a trophy and Ketterng Golf Club voucher

Nearest the Pin and Straightest Drive winner - Matt Sharman and received two trophies and 2 Wellingborough Golf Club vouchers

Longest Drive winner - John Hewitt and received a trophy and Wellingborough Golf Club voucher

Winning Team - A1 Flat Roofing and received Rushden Golf Club vouchers
