Pride in Northamptonshire winners 2014
People are being asked to nominate those special people who go out of their way to help others in their community.
Nominations for the annual Pride in Northamptonshire awards organised by the Chronicle & Echo and Northamptonshire Telegraph are now open.
The awards, which are sponsored by Wicksteed Park in association with Costa, recognise the achievements of those people in the community who always make time to help others, and who support and nurture a positive attitude in the community.
Editor of the Chronicle & Echo, David Summers, said: “These fantastic awards are our way of shining the spotlight on the unsung people every community needs. I urge people to nominate those people who have made a difference to their lives.”
There are several categories including Young Achiever, which recognises the extraordinary dedication and hard work put in by young people in the county; Service with a Smile, for the individual or team that goes the extra
mile when it comes to customer service; Inspire a Generation, sponsored by Western Power, for people who inspire others through their exploits; Care and the Community, for individuals who have shown patience and understanding caring for someone else, and the Northamptonshire Community Award, for a Northamptonshire person, group or charity who have made a contribution to their local community.
The county awards night will be held at Wicksteed Park Pavillion in Kettering on Friday October 2, from 7pm.
